As usual, when it comes to historical otome games, you will see Oda Nobunaga.

Usually, seeing that would turn me off. However, after playing the opening, I would say I love it.

You play as the heroine, who is the daughter of a restaurant in the Kyoto.

Things happened and your younger brother was supposed

 to be sent to be a food taster (for poisons that is).

Seeing how it is a dangerous job, you decide to go in place of your brother.

Routes are chosen by "clan". 

This means that the guys comes in pair and decide who you are leaning towards. 

Definitely recommended even though I've only played 3 chapters now. 

 

The Royal Trap

Madeleine Valois is a prince's companion. Her job is to guide and advise him, to make him look good so that he can land a royal bride. It is her responsibility to keep him out of trouble - not to let him walk blindly into a political minefield, not to let him get arrested for a crime he didn't commit, and definitely not to let him fall in love with her.

The demo covers the prologue and chapter 1. A full runthrough is 7 chapters long. Chapters 1-4 are common, chapters 5-7 are different for each route.

This game really surprise me. It gave me a unique gameplay and the story is touching T ^ T.

Unfortunately, the female doll's route is incomplete. But the male doll's route is just so good~~

The artwork is really good, it is comparable to pay to play otome games. The game is unique in which, instead of choosing, you have to type instead. The concept reminds me of Fate/Stay Night. Having dolls as your partner in fighting and all. And what can I say, the male doll is just so handsome <3 The story is very well done, it is very well thought. Its a pity that the game play is pretty short. But the whole game is very enjoyable, extremely worth the time.

The doll concept of the game is extra ordinary. Making it different from many other otome games. The background is drawn really well which makes it really noticeable throughout the gameplay. It can be seen that lots of effort has been put into the game. Definitely worth the try!! You can imagine yourself as a girl or a guy. But as otome lover, I'm definitely imaging myself as a girl in the male doll's route ;)

I have to say, honestly, this game was a deep disappointment for me.

I know that the story is lengthy, but I didn't expect it to bore me so much.

About 85% of the whole game is about them attacking, being attacked and stuffs.

And this was a big turn off for me that I only managed to finish Saito path.

It was a good thing I went for him first, since he was my favourite 

when I watched the first season of the anime.

During my second playthrough, I wondered why can't I get Shinpachi Nagakura.....

He was the second guy I wanted most in the game.....but sadly, he doesn't have a path....

But I do have to say, Saito's route was really good and sweet. I love how at the end,

all of them changed into western clothes......that's another beautiful sight in the game.

I don't particularly like this knd of otome games, all you do is read read AND read......

Such a disappointment for me. But, if you are a Hakuouki fan, you will like this, I guess?

Interesting fact: These characters exist in real historical time. And its kinda cool to read up on them!!!

Yo-Jin-Bo Review

The first otome game I played. Totally in love with the game that I replayed it for 3 times now. The art is really good. Yo-Jin-Bo meant bodyguard in japanese. Which is also the names of the 3 main characters Yo, Jin & Bo. For me, my personal favourite is Muneshige. I thought his storyline was really cute & heart throbbing.

This was the best scene & the one I loveeee the most. Muneshige looks so sexy here. *nosebleed*

My second favourite is Ittousai. Despite his evilness at the beginning of the game, the ending was really sexy!!! <3. And my third favourite is Mon-mon!! I think he is really cute for some reason. Surprisingly, the 3 main characters' love route didn't attract me that much. YES....mainly due to the fact that there's a time traveling element at the end of the route for both Jin & Bo. Which I really dislike. But I love the historical element of this game. A really good game.

Rating: 9/10 stars

I don't think I will be posting a new guide for Yo-Jin-Bo as the walkthrough available is really clear! However, if you want me to make the walkthrough even easier to understand, feel free to comment =)
